A ten-minute stock review for a busy parts shop

Keep the digital shelf close to what is actually available.

A listing can remain visible after the last item has left the shop unless someone updates it. Give one person responsibility for checking the digital shelf against current stock. The routine matters more than how many listings the shop has.

Review a small batch regularly

  • Check whether the item is still available in the stated condition.
  • Confirm the current asking price or choose contact-for-price where appropriate.
  • Review photos and titles for obvious mismatches.
  • Update the listing status after stock is sold.

Make the handover clear

If several people sell from the same stock, agree who updates MyFita and when. A buyer enquiry is not a completed sale, and a saved listing is not a reservation. Keep your own stock record alongside the marketplace. Start with the listings that attract questions or change most often rather than trying to rewrite the whole catalogue at once.

Put the guide into practice

Use accurate details, ask about anything uncertain and confirm the final arrangement directly with the seller.
